Welcome

I’m Ron, and I’m here to help guide you to new frontiers.

My business career spans over four decades. After graduating from Taylor University with a degree in Economics, I worked in the communications and defense industries. Later, after earning a Master of Science in Business Administration, I established a financial planning practice where I won several awards.

In 1991, I bought the family business and in 1996, I became president of C.G. Klopfenstein Builders, Inc. The company won both local and national awards in my years as CEO. In 2012, I left the private sector and became VP of Ministry Expansion for a not-for-profit organization in Colorado where I could have a more direct impact on the lives of young adults and other leaders.

I’m an experienced speaker and trainer and I’m passionate about investing in others. I focus my coaching practice on people who want to close the gaps in their life between where they are and where they want to be. These may be individuals who are in or are anticipating a major transition in life, entrepreneurs and business professionals, those who are actively considering what it looks like to finish well and those who are simply feeling stuck. My balance of business and volunteering experience coupled with professional training make me a relevant and effective coach.

Outside of work, my wife Lorene and I began dating back in 1975 and were married in 1978. It has been a grand adventure filled with lessons learned and God’s hand stamped all over it. We have two children and three grandchildren and now reside in Conifer, CO.

“I’m a business owner and Ron has helped me create better balance between work and home. I have known Ron for many years and I’ve witnessed him live out the Godly principles that he teaches. I highly recommend Ron if you want to grow as a leader in business while prioritizing the things in life that really matter.”

What is the Spirit of the West?

The Sprit of the West is a spirit of adventure and discovery. It means taking new ground, discovering new trails and moving forward with excitement and anticipation. It means living without regret and refusing to be paralyzed by the fear of moving ahead.

It is stepping out with boldness. It is the thrill of finally seeing what lies over the next ridge. It is refusing to be weighed down by the ball and chain of your past and instead journeying relentlessly forward. Finally, it means arriving at the end of the trail with a deep sense of fulfillment and satisfaction having left the safety of complacency for the exhilaration of the journey you were meant to live.
