The prudent change their course. The simple ignore all the warning signs. Who would be so stupid you ask? The answer is, almost all of us.

So, when happiness points one way, but truth, wisdom and common sense point another way, that is usually when things begin to go haywire.

There are no exceptions. That’s right, you are not the exception to the principle of the path.

We are all on paths in life. We are on these paths not because someone forced us to be on them, but because we chose them.

How much more enjoyable life would be if we all quit pretending to have things together and realized that we are all “pieces of work”. We could all have a laugh at our own expense without it crushing our egos.

Before allowing yourself to get so upset over such small things take a moment to breathe. Ask yourself why this thing has gotten you so upset?

When looking at that person in the mirror what things do you say that you would never say to others? Things like:

Imagine for a moment that today is December 31, 2019. The year has gone by and you find yourself standing at the end of it looking back.

As you enter the New Year, goal setting is on your mind. You may be overwhelmed by where to go, how to plan, or how to even move forward. You could be wondering what to do next. Does this sound like you?

Tomorrow we celebrate Christmas. Despite all the attempts to water down the meaning of Christmas and the trend to substitute the word “holiday”, the true meaning of this day is the coming to earth of our Hope. Our Savior, Prince of Peace, Lamb of God, and Sufficient Sacrifice. Jesus.

The next time you are presented with an opportunity to grow try to resist automatically rationalizing why leaving it unseized is the best option.
